The haskap berry, also known as mayberry, is a fruit tree that offers a multitude of health benefits. In addition to being delicious, May berries are full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

To grow a haskap tree in your garden, it is important to choose a sunny location, where the soil is rich and well drained. If your soil is acidic, this is perfect, because the haskap tree prefers soils between pH 4.5 and 5.5. If necessary, you can add compost or peat to improve soil fertility.

The ideal time to plant the haskap tree is in spring or fall, when temperatures are mild. Dig a hole approximately 50 cm deep and in diameter, and add compost to the bottom of the hole.
