Strawberry spinach

Strawberry is a very interesting plant to grow in the vegetable garden because of its many health benefits. It is an important source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, making it a highly nutritious food. What's more, this plant is extremely versatile in the kitchen. It can be eaten raw in salads, added to smoothies or cooked in dishes such as quiches, soups or stir-fries. Its sweet and slightly acidic taste makes it a delicious and original addition to many recipes.

To grow strawberry pinard, we recommend sowing the seeds directly in the ground from the start of spring, when the soil has reached a temperature of at least 10°C. The seeds should be germinated in a greenhouse. Seeds should be planted about 5 cm apart and covered with about 1 cm of soil. It is also possible to plant seedlings, taking care to space them about 20 cm apart to encourage their growth.

Caring for the strawberry pinot plant is fairly simple. It is important to keep the soil moist, but not soaking wet, by watering regularly. It is also advisable to mulch the soil around the plants to keep it moist and prevent weeds from proliferating. It is also advisable to apply organic fertiliser once a month to encourage growth and fruit production.

The strawberry harvest takes place around 8 to 10 weeks after sowing. The leaves must be harvested regularly to encourage the production of new leaves. It is best to pick when the leaves are still young and tender, before they turn bitter. This plant can be harvested throughout the growing season, until summer temperatures become too hot and the plant begins to go to seed.
