How to sow anemones outdoors?

To sow anemones outdoors, it's best to wait until spring, when temperatures start to warm up. Choose a sunny or semi-shady spot with well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Before sowing, loosen the soil by weeding and levelling it.

Place the anemone seeds on the surface of the soil and cover with a thin layer of soil. Water lightly to keep the soil moist, but take care not to over-moisten as excess water can rot the seeds. Space the seeds a few centimetres apart to allow the plants to develop.

Monitor soil moisture regularly and take care to protect young shoots from the risk of late frosts. Once the seedlings are well established, you'll be able to enjoy beautiful anemones in your garden, without having to resort to chemical fertilisers.
