How to sow benoite (geum) successfully outdoors?

Benoîte (geum) is a perennial plant with an abundance of colourful flowers, perfect for embellishing flowerbeds. To sow it outdoors, we recommend doing so in spring, ideally in April or May.

Before sowing the woodruff seeds, it's important to prepare the soil by weeding and decompacting it to encourage good germination. Then simply sow the seeds on the surface of the soil, spacing them about 30 cm apart. Cover the seeds lightly with soil and tamp gently.

It is important to keep the soil moist until the seeds emerge. Once the plants are well developed, it is advisable to mulch them to keep the soil fresh and limit weed growth. Also make sure you water regularly without drowning the plants.

By following these simple tips, you'll be able to enjoy beautiful mountain avens flowers in your garden throughout the summer season.
