How to sow camelina successfully outdoors?

To sow camelina seeds outdoors, choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil. It is best to sow in spring or autumn. Before sowing, work the soil by weeding and decompacting it. To sow the seeds, dig shallow furrows about 1 to 2 centimetres deep. Space the camelina seeds about 10 to 15 centimetres apart. Cover the seeds lightly with soil and pack the soil around them.

Be sure to keep the soil moist but not soggy after sowing by watering regularly. Also be sure to keep an eye out for weeds and remove them as soon as they appear so as not to compete with the young camelina plants. Once the plants are well established, they will require little maintenance. You can harvest the camelina seeds once they have fully matured. By following these simple tips, you'll be able to enjoy a fine crop of camelina in your garden.
