Goji (Lyciet berry)
How do I plant goji berries?
To plant gojis, we recommend putting them in the ground in autumn. Choose a sunny spot sheltered from the wind. The plant prefers light, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Before planting, it is advisable to prepare the soil by weeding and adding compost.
If you have potted goji plants, you can transplant them in spring. To do this, prepare a hole twice the size of the plant's root ball and place it at the same depth as it was in its pot. Pack the soil well around the roots and water thoroughly.
Gojis require little maintenance once in the ground. Be sure to water them well if they are dry, but be careful not to overwater them. To encourage their growth, you can mulch the soil around the plants to conserve moisture.
By following these planting and care tips, you can enjoy delicious, antioxidant-rich goji berries in your garden.
