How do I sow jasmine outdoors?

To sow jasmine outdoors, choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil. The best time to sow is in spring, once all risk of frost has passed.

Before sowing, prepare the soil by weeding and working it deeply to aerate it. Dig shallow furrows about 1 to 2 cm deep and space them about 30 cm apart.

Drop the jasmine seeds into the furrows, spacing them about 5 to 10 cm apart. Then cover them with a thin layer of soil and tamp lightly.

The seeds should be planted in the soil.

Water regularly, but lightly, to keep the soil moist but not soggy. Take care not to overwater, as jasmine does not like overly wet soil.

Continue to look after your plants by protecting them from the wind and pruning them if necessary to encourage their growth. Once well established, your jasmine plants will give you magnificent, fragrant flowers.
