How to plant kiwais?

To grow kiwais, it's important to choose a sunny spot sheltered from the wind. Kiwais are best planted in spring, when all risk of frost has passed. The soil should be fertile, well-drained and slightly acidic. It is advisable to add compost or well-decomposed manure before planting.

Create a hole twice as wide as the root ball of the plant and deep enough for the roots to be well buried. Place the plant in the hole and cover with soil, packing lightly. Water thoroughly after planting.

If you use potted plants, be sure to replant them as soon as you receive them in a larger pot before putting them in the ground. For good pollination, it is advisable to plant at least two kiwais of different varieties close together.

Maintain your kiwais regularly by watering them regularly, mulching the soil and pruning them as necessary. With these few tips, you'll be able to enjoy delicious, sweet and nutritious fruit every year.
