How to sow marigolds successfully under cover?
To sow marigolds (tagettes) under cover, we recommend sowing them in late winter or early spring, around March-April. Choose a sowing container such as cups or mini greenhouses, filled with good quality potting soil.
Before sowing, make sure the soil is slightly damp, but not soggy. Place the seeds on the surface of the potting soil and lightly cover them with the substrate.
Then place the containers on the surface of the potting soil.
Then place the containers in a bright, warm place, taking care to water them regularly but not excessively to prevent the seeds from rotting.
Make sure the temperature is stable, ideally between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius. The seeds should germinate in one to two weeks. The seeds should germinate in one to two weeks.

How do I sow marigolds outdoors?
To sow marigolds outdoors, we recommend doing so in spring, when all risk of frost has passed. Choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Before sowing, work the soil by weeding and levelling it.
Once the soil is ready, sow the seeds at a depth of about 1 to 1.5 cm and space them about 20 to 30 cm apart. Make sure you water well after sowing to ensure the seeds germinate properly. Pay attention to regular watering afterwards, especially during dry spells.
Indian carnations are undemanding plants in terms of fertilisation, so no fertiliser is needed. However, be sure to keep an eye out for signs of aphid or other pest attacks, and intervene naturally if necessary, for example by encouraging the presence of natural predators.
"When does the marigold flower?
The marigold, or tagette, generally flowers in summer, from June to September. The flowers are brightly coloured, ranging from bright yellow to orange, red and brown. To encourage beautiful flowering, it is important to plant the seeds in well-drained soil in full sun. Tagettes need little water, so it's best to water them moderately, especially in dry weather.
