How to sow sedum outdoors?

To sow sedums outdoors, we recommend doing so in spring or autumn, when the weather is mild. Prepare the soil by weeding and working it deeply so that it drains well. Sedums prefer poor, well-drained soil, so no fertiliser is needed.

Sow the seeds about 20 to 30 cm apart. Cover them lightly with soil and pack well to ensure good contact between the seeds and the soil. Water regularly but not excessively, as sedums are drought-resistant plants.

Make sure that young plants are protected from slugs and snails that could feed on them. Once well established, sedums require little maintenance. They can be divided and transplanted in spring if required.
