"How to successfully sow soya outdoors?"
To sow soya outdoors, it's best to do so in spring, once any risk of frost has passed. Choose a sunny, well-drained spot for your seeds.
Before sowing, work the soil by carefully weeding it and turning it over with a grelinette to aerate it. Avoid using chemical fertilisers, favouring natural methods to enrich the soil, such as compost.
Soybeans should be sown about 3 cm deep and about 10 cm apart. Make sure you water well after sowing to encourage germination and growth of the seedlings.
Make sure the soya plants get enough sunlight throughout the day. Also make sure you protect them from slugs and snails by placing natural barriers around your crops, such as ash or crushed eggshells.
