How do you combat powdery mildew?
Oidium is a fungus that generally attacks courgettes and other vegetables in the Cucurbitaceae family (squash, cucumbers, melons, etc.). Although it can sometimes be found on leaves as early as the beginning of summer, it generally only becomes a problem with the arrival of autumn, when temperatures are cooler and the climate more humid. The leaves, which grow more slowly at this time of year, are then completely covered in a white powder that prevents photosynthesis. The plant then ends up drying out and no longer producing fruit.
As a preventive measure, it is advisable to reinforce the plants by watering the base with nettle manure to prevent the fungus from developing too early, but this is not the only way to get rid of it. Discover some tips from Zeprofdortie.
