How do I sow angelica outdoors?

To grow angelica outdoors, we recommend sowing the seeds in spring or autumn. Prepare a well-loosened seedbed free of chemical fertilisers. Sow the seeds at a depth of 0.5 cm and space them about 30 cm apart. Germination will take around 2 to 3 weeks.

Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged throughout the germination period. Once your seedlings reach 10 to 15 cm in height, you can transplant them into the garden, spacing them about 60 cm apart.

Choose a location in full sun or partial shade with fresh, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Avoid compacted soil, which may promote root rot. Water regularly to maintain soil moisture, especially during dry periods.
