How to sow cayenne peppers successfully under cover?

To sow Cayenne peppers successfully under cover, we recommend that you start sowing from February to April. Choose a shallow container, around 5 cm high, filled with quality potting soil suitable for growing chillies. Sow your seeds on the surface of the mould, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Cover lightly with sieved potting soil and tamp gently. Water sparingly to maintain constant humidity. Keep the substrate moist but not soggy.

Place your pots in a warm, bright place, at a temperature of around 22-25°C. As soon as the first leaves appear, transplant the plants into individual pots. Once the risk of frost has passed, you can transplant your plants to a sunny spot in the garden. Be careful not to over-water the plants, and watch out for diseases such as powdery mildew. By following these simple tips, you'll get tasty, spicy cayenne peppers to add zing to your dishes!
