Miscanthus, also known as Chinese reed, is a herbaceous plant native to Asia. Highly prized for its tall stems and magnificent feathers, this plant is mainly used as an ornamental in gardens. However, Miscanthus can also be grown for agricultural purposes, in particular for biomass production.To grow Miscanthus, it is essential to choose a sunny location with well-drained, fertile soil. Miscanthus rhizomes should be planted in spring, at a depth of around 10 cm and spaced about 50 cm apart.
