Tomatillo
How to sow tomatillo successfully under cover?
To grow tomatillos under cover, it's important to start by sowing them in small pots or cups filled with light potting soil. It is advisable to sow tomatillo seeds indoors, between March and April, to transplant them outdoors once any risk of frost has passed.
When sowing, take care not to bury the seeds too deeply, about 0.5 cm deep is sufficient. Keep the soil moist but not soggy, and place the pots in a warm, bright place to encourage germination. It's also important to ensure good air circulation to prevent the development of disease.
Once the plants have developed a few leaves, you can transplant them into larger containers or in the ground, making sure to space them about 60 cm apart. Tomatillos need plenty of sun to thrive, so choose a sunny spot to plant them and water them regularly without getting them too wet to avoid disease.
