How to sow vervain successfully under cover?

Vervain is a plant much appreciated for its beautiful flowers and bewitching fragrance. To grow it successfully, we recommend sowing it under cover in spring. To do this, it is important to fill small pots or cups with light, well-drained soil. Then sow the verbena seeds, spacing them about 1 cm apart and covering them lightly with potting soil.

Be sure to keep the potting soil moist but not soggy by watering them regularly. It is essential to place the pots in a bright spot but not in direct sunlight. The ideal temperatures for germination are between 18 and 21°C.

Once the seedlings are sufficiently developed, you can transplant them into the ground or into larger pots. Verbena likes rich, well-drained soil. It doesn't need fertiliser to grow well.
