Turnip
Yellow turnipHow do I sow yellow turnips outdoors?
To sow yellow turnips outdoors, it's best to wait until early spring, when temperatures start to warm up. Choose a sunny spot in your garden with well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Before sowing, work the soil by weeding and levelling.
Since yellow turnip seeds are small, we recommend sowing them 1 to 2 centimetres deep and about 5 centimetres apart. Be sure to water them well after sowing to ensure good germination and optimum growth.
Yellow turnips are easy vegetables to grow and don't need any fertiliser. Just make sure you protect them from pests and keep an eye on soil moisture. You'll be able to harvest your yellow turnips around 8 to 10 weeks after sowing, when the roots are well formed and ready to be eaten. Enjoy your turnips!
