How can I successfully sow mountain blueberries outdoors?

To sow mountain blueberries outdoors, we recommend doing so in spring, once any risk of frost has passed. Choose a sunny spot with well-drained, acidic soil. Before sowing, weed the area well and loosen the soil by working it with a hoe or claw.

Then sow the mountain blueberry seeds at a depth of about 2 to 3 times their size, spacing them 30 to 40 cm apart. Cover the seeds lightly with soil and tamp gently to ensure good contact with the soil. Water regularly to keep the soil moist but not soggy.

Be sure to protect young plants from weeds by weeding regularly by hand. Once the plants are well established, they generally don't require much maintenance. Enjoy the beauty and delicious berries of mountain blueberries in your natural garden.
