How to plant gariguette strawberry plants?

The gariguette strawberry is a variety of strawberry much appreciated for its sweet flavour and juicy flesh. To plant it in the ground, choose a sunny or half-sunny, well-drained spot. The best time to plant the gariguette strawberry is in spring, preferably in March or April.

Before planting, we recommend preparing the soil by weeding and working it deeply to aerate it. Strawberry plants like light, humus-rich, slightly acidic soil. You can add compost or potting soil to improve the soil structure.

To plant strawberry plants, make holes about 30 cm apart and as deep as the plant's original pot. Place the plants, making sure that the collar (the part between the roots and the leaves) is level with the ground. Fill in the holes and lightly pack the soil around the plants.

Water regularly without excess and make sure the plants stay well hydrated. You can also mulch the soil around the plants to retain moisture. By following these tips, you'll be able to enjoy delicious garrigue strawberries in your garden.
