How to sow pineapple tomatoes successfully under cover?

To grow beautiful pineapple tomatoes, it's best to sow under cover. Choose a light, well-drained substrate to avoid any risk of root rot. Fill cups with special sowing soil and place one pineapple tomato seed per cup. Cover lightly with potting soil and water sparingly so as not to drown the young plants. Place the cups under cover in a bright, warm place, at a temperature of around 20°C. Take care to keep the substrate moist, but not soggy.

Pineapple tomato seedlings under cover can be sown as early as February for robust plants that can be transplanted into the ground as soon as the last frosts have passed. Make sure the plants receive enough natural light to encourage their growth. When the plants have developed at least two leaves, you can transplant them into the ground, making sure there is a spacing of around 60 cm between each plant. Remember to stake the plants to help them develop.
