How to sow Rose de Berne tomatoes successfully under cover?

For successful sowing of Berne pink tomatoes under cover, we recommend sowing in March. Use earthenware cups or pots filled with quality potting soil. Make sure the potting soil is well moist but not soggy to encourage the seeds to germinate.

Sow one to two seeds per container to a depth of around 0.5 cm. Place the cups or pots in a bright spot at a temperature of around 20°C. Keep the soil moist by watering regularly with non-calcareous water.

When the plants reach 10 cm in height, transplant them into individual pots or in the ground, making sure there is a spacing of around 50 cm between each plant. Install stakes to support fragile stems and encourage fruit development.

Avoid over-watering, chemical fertilisers and use natural methods to combat disease and pests. By following these tips, you'll be able to enjoy delicious pink Berne tomatoes in your garden.
