How do I sow Touchon carrots outdoors?

Touchon carrots can be sown outdoors in spring, generally from March onwards. Before sowing, it is important to prepare the soil by carefully weeding it and working it deeply so that it is loose. Carrots prefer light, well-drained soil with no stones, to prevent them from deforming.

To sow Touchon carrots, we recommend spacing them about 3 to 5 centimetres apart and planting them about 1 centimetre deep. Be sure to pack the soil well after sowing to prevent the seeds from drying out. Water regularly, but sparingly, taking care not to leave the soil soggy.

It's important to keep an eye out for pests and diseases, particularly the carrot fly. To prevent them from appearing, you can cover the seedlings with a protective veil.

It's important to watch out for pests and diseases, especially carrot fly.
