How to sow rocket successfully outdoors?

To sow rocket outdoors, it's best to wait until spring or autumn, when temperatures are cooler. Choose a sunny, well-drained spot for your seedlings.

Prepare the soil by carefully weeding and working it deeply. Rocket likes soil rich in organic matter, but avoid using chemical fertilisers. You can enrich the soil with compost or well-decomposed manure.

Once your soil is ready, sow the rocket seeds about 1 to 2 cm deep, spacing them about 15 to 20 cm apart. Be sure to water your seedlings regularly without drowning them.

Monitor your plantings to avoid insect or disease attacks. Arugula is an easy plant to grow, but it can be susceptible to certain fungal diseases. If aphids are present, opt for natural methods such as plant purins rather than chemical insecticides.
