How do I sow coriander outdoors?

To sow coriander outdoors, we recommend doing so in spring, when the risk of frost has passed. Coriander prefers well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Before sowing, it is advisable to work the soil by weeding and loosening it with a claw.

Coriander seeds should be planted at a depth of around 1 to 2 cm and spaced 10 to 15 cm apart. After sowing, it is important to keep the soil moist but not soggy, taking care not to overwater.

Coriander is a plant that needs sun but does not tolerate intense heat. We therefore recommend growing it in a sunny spot but away from the sun's scorching rays. By following these simple tips, you can enjoy beautiful harvests of fresh coriander to flavour your dishes all season long.

How to harvest coriander

Coriander is an aromatic plant that is easy to grow in a natural garden. To harvest coriander, it is best to wait until the plant is at least 6 weeks old after planting. The ideal time to harvest coriander is in spring, before the summer temperatures become too high. To harvest coriander leaves, simply cut them off at the base of the stem using a sharp knife. It is important not to remove more than a third of the leaves to allow the plant to continue growing. Coriander leaves can be kept fresh for about a week when placed in a perforated plastic bag in the fridge. You can also dry the leaves to keep them for longer, by hanging them in a dry, airy place. By following these simple tips, you'll be able to enjoy your crop of fresh coriander all season long.
